About Us
Out of Eden was founded in 1993 by Ian and Janet Hartley, with the aim of offering accommodation providers an extensive range of hospitality products, supplied with excellent customer service.
With our wealth of experience from running hospitality businesses ourselves, we knew many of the challenges faced by people managing hotels, B&Bs and guest houses, or operating holiday lettings and self-catering cottages.
After more than 30 years Out of Eden remains a family-owned and family-run business. We are based in the beautiful market town of Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria’s Eden Valley, between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, from where we have grown into the UK's leading supplier to the hotel and hospitality industry.

Our customers told us that some pack sizes were too large, especially if storage space is limited. We asked our suppliers to create smaller packs, and many of them kindly obliged. And where smaller packs didn’t exist, we created our own solutions so you can buy exactly the quantity you need.
