Towel Art Tuesday: How to fold a towel turtle

Towel Art Tuesday: How to fold a towel turtle
28.10.2019

Towel art, also known as towel folding and towel origami, is a great way to add a fun touch to your guest rooms. Simple but effective, creating towel animals such as turtles, elephants or even yule logs, can be made in as little as two minutes but are guaranteed to make your guests' stay extra special.

This Towel Art Tuesday will demonstrate just how quick and simple it is to make a towel turtle with a face cloth, hand towel and bath towel. We decided to create Terry the Towel Turtle with our mocha and latte towels, though you can use any colour you wish.

Keep scrolling for a step-by-step video tutorial for this towel turtle!

For the shell:

Step 1: Lay out the bath towel longways and begin rolling the two ends inwards until you reach the middle

Step 2: Flip the two rolls over and fold the towel into thirds

Step 3: Flip the towel over once again and pull the two rolls apart to create the towel shell

Step 4: Set the bath towel aside

For the body:

Step 1: Lay out the hand towel longways and roll the two ends inwards, as you did with the bath towel

Step 2: Fold the two rolls in half to create four 'legs'

Step 3: Pull out the ends of each roll

Step 4: Holding two rolls in each hand, pull the towel apart to create the body

For the face:

Step 1: Fold the face cloth in half diagonally to create a triangle

Step 2: Fold the two ends inwards until you create a point

Step 3: Pop the face cloth in between two of the 'legs' and add the shell on top Voila, you have a towel turtle!
