Bedding

What are the benefits of summer duvets?

The distinct seasons of the British Isles are considered to be one of its charms. Our not-always-reliable climate creates challenges for UK accommodation providers, particularly when it comes to choosing the right sort of bedding for any hotel, B&B or holiday let. Out of Eden offer a range of summer hotel duvets to maximise guest sleep comfortability throughout the warmer months of the year. You may also find that these duvets are the best bedding choice throughout summer and autumn too. To help you navigate suitable togs, duvet fillings and duvet sizes for summer, first consider your bedding priorities such as:

 • local climate   • style & green credentials   • durability & comfort   • care & hygiene   • flexibility & budget

Whatever your criteria, Out of Eden bedding solutions are guaranteed to withstand the rigours of the hotel industry. Our duvets are all independently tested by the Laundry Technology Centre in Leeds, which involves rigorous analysis of fillings, casings and construction.

What is tog?

Tog ratings indicate how insulating the duvet is. The higher the tog the warmer it will keep your guests. Usually hotel duvets have a tog rating of 10.5 as this suits most of the year. However, some hotels use a 4.5 tog duvet for summer and a 13.5 tog duvet for winter.

Did you know there is a tog for all seasons?

For year-round flexibly consider all-seasons duvets. These comprise two duvets that can be used separately or fixed together to make a duvet fit for the cooler months.

Out of Eden’s Luxury All Seasons 3-in-1 Duvet is made from our eco-friendly synthetic Luxury Just Like Down filling. The duvet features a 4.5 tog duvet (for summer) and a 9 tog duvet (for spring/autumn). These duvets are clipped together with premium durable fasteners to create a snug 13.5 tog duvet for winter.

Top Tip: Oversize your summer duvets to add a touch of warmth and luxury

For instance; a king-sized duvet on a double bed not only provides an attractive drape, but also better coverage and increased insulation.
